Lawyer Im Jae-hwa, Former Prosecutor and Judge, Announces Candidacy for Daegu Dong-gu Gap National Assembly Seat
Im Jae-hwa (52), a lawyer with the unique experience of having served as both a prosecutor and a judge, announced on the 7th that he will run for the National Assembly in the Daegu Dong-gu Gap electoral district.
At 11 a.m. on the same day, Im held a press conference at the Daegu City Party Office of the People Power Party in Beomeo-dong, Suseong-gu, Daegu, stating, "The development of Daegu Dong-gu is stagnant, and the National Assembly member has no presence at all. They only align themselves with Seoul and completely ignore the local residents." He added, "I will become a National Assembly member with the ability and passion to fundamentally change the region and confidently compete with the central government."

After graduating from Daegu Cheonggu High School and Seoul National University, Im passed the bar exam in 1998. From 2001, he worked for three years as a prosecutor at the Daegu District Prosecutors' Office and Ulsan District Prosecutors' Office. From 2006, he served as a judge at the Daegu District Court and Daegu High Court, and since 2013, he has been practicing as a lawyer in Daegu.
