Jeongeup-si Conducts Agricultural Corporation Survey on 488 Locations
Jeongeup-si, Jeollabuk-do will conduct a survey on agricultural corporations operating businesses outside their intended purpose without meeting establishment conditions, aiming to normalize these corporations by the end of February next year.
According to the city on the 7th, this survey is based on the "Act on the Fostering and Support of Agricultural and Fishery Management Entities" and targets 488 agricultural corporations in the region with operational records such as corporate tax filings and real estate transaction reports (258 farming associations and 230 agricultural companies).
The main survey items include ▲whether establishment conditions are met ▲compliance with business scope ▲whether the corporation has been inactive for more than one year without justifiable reason ▲use of similar names to agricultural corporations, among others.
The city plans to issue correction orders for minor violations of the Agricultural and Fishery Management Entities Act, and impose fines or request dissolution orders for serious violations as follow-up measures.
A city official stated, “Through the agricultural corporation survey, we will normalize abnormally operating agricultural corporations to enhance trust and ensure they operate in accordance with the purpose of the system.”
