Ahn Hyeong-ju, Gwangju Seo-gu Council Member, Criticizes Youth Startup Support Program as Showy Operation
Ahn Hyeong-ju, a member of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Seo-gu Council, criticized on the 6th that "the youth startup support project, a key initiative of the district mayor, is being neglected as a mere numbers game for show."
Councilor Ahn made these remarks during the 2nd administrative audit of the 317th regular session held that day.
Ahn stated, "Currently, the youth startup support project is still concentrated on tenant companies in the startup center within Seo-gu," and added, "Support for youth startups should be distributed evenly to various prospective entrepreneurs."
He continued, "I hope Seo-gu will be reborn as an autonomous district centered on youth startups through substantial expansion of the youth startup budget and program development, as well as follow-up management measures, rather than administrative number games such as building startup strategy programs, post-graduation management of the center, and expansion to prospective entrepreneurs."
