Imsil-gun Secures 2 Billion KRW Special Tax Allocation... Boost for Sports Center Construction and More
Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk, has secured 2 billion KRW in special grants from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for the second half of this year, including the construction of the Bandabi Sports Center, giving a boost to the promotion of local pending projects.
According to the county on the 6th, special grants are funds provided by the government to local governments to compensate for special financial demands.
The special grants secured by the county this time amount to a total of 2 billion KRW for four projects: 1 billion KRW for two local pending projects and 1 billion KRW for two disaster safety projects.
Specifically, the two local pending projects are ▲ the construction of the Imsil-gun Bandabi Sports Center (500 million KRW) and ▲ the expansion of the access road to Sangchon Village in Ogung-ri, Shindeok-myeon (500 million KRW), while the two disaster safety projects are ▲ the maintenance project of the Udu Stream in Imsil (700 million KRW) and ▲ the maintenance project of the transmission tower bridge in Samgye (300 million KRW).
The Imsil-gun Bandabi Sports Center construction project is aimed at creating a dedicated sports space for the disabled, including an indoor gymnasium and an aquatic exercise room. By equipping various support facilities for the disabled, such as physical therapy and speech therapy facilities, it is expected to provide high-quality customized services to disabled residents of Imsil-gun.
In addition, the expansion and paving of the access road to Sangchon Village in Ogung-ri, Shindeok-myeon, is a project to widen the narrow village road, which is expected to significantly improve the living conditions for residents who have experienced great inconvenience due to the narrow access road.
Furthermore, the county plans to provide a safe farming environment for residents through maintenance projects on the Udu Stream in Dugok-ri, Imsil-eup, and the transmission tower bridge in Hakjeong-ri, Samgye-myeon.
Led by County Governor Shim Min, the county has established a cooperative system with local members of the National Assembly to secure the special grants.
Governor Shim and related officials actively explained the necessity and urgency of the projects to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and carried out all-out efforts to secure the grants.
Governor Shim Min said, “With the securing of this special grant, we have been able to secure various project funds not only to solve local issues but also to improve the living conditions of the residents. We will continue to do our best to secure additional national and provincial funds so that pending projects can proceed without any setbacks.”
