Hwaseong-si Online and Offline Hybrid Market Development Team Draws Attention
Total Consultation Performance of Approximately 54.5 Billion Won
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 4th that the Southeast Asian hybrid market development team dispatched to Malaysia and Vietnam recently achieved export consultation results worth approximately 54.5 billion KRW.
This market development team dispatch followed the first round of online consultations conducted in October, where 17 local manufacturing export companies engaged with 66 buyers from Malaysia and Vietnam. Through the online consultations, about 32.3 billion KRW in consultation results were achieved, and the city selected 11 companies with high matching potential as dispatch companies.
The second round of on-site consultations took place from the 26th of last month to the 2nd of this month in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The dispatched companies achieved export consultation results worth approximately 22.2 billion KRW with a total of 49 buyers.
The market development team dispatch, jointly promoted by Hwaseong City and the Hwaseong City Export Support Center, was particularly evaluated for enhancing practical outcomes by combining online and offline consultations. To increase export potential, local companies first conducted online matching consultations to select buyers with a high likelihood of actual export contracts, followed by direct face-to-face consultations with buyers overseas.
Song Ki-chang, CEO of Geumjeong Co., Ltd., who participated in this development team, said, "Meeting buyers verified through online consultations directly on-site allowed us to continue more concrete contract discussions," adding, "We expect to achieve an actual contract worth about $60,000 with a Vietnamese buyer."
