Maeil Dairies Presents the Final Performance of the 20th Anniversary 'Maeil Classic' This Year
'Visiting and Inviting Concert' to Popularize Classical Music
Puccini Opera 'La Boh?me' Gala Concert at Lotte Concert Hall on the 7th
Maeil Dairies announced on the 4th that the 'Maeil Classic' 20th anniversary concert, which has been presented to popularize classical music, will hold its final performance of the year on the 7th.
Maeil Classic is a concert event held for teenagers, local residents, and pregnant women who have fewer opportunities to experience classical music. With the motto of 'a concert that visits and invites,' it has met with over 70,000 audiences at more than 80 locations nationwide over the past 20 years since 2003.
This year, marking its 20th anniversary, it is presenting various concept performances under the theme of 'Time and Space' at the Lotte Concert Hall in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The fourth and final stage of this year will be a gala concert version of Puccini's opera 'La Boh?me,' themed 'The Four Seasons of Opera,' perfectly matching the year-end atmosphere. Professor Na Kyung-eun, an opera coach at Oberlin Conservatory of Music in the U.S., and Professor Piotr Kupka, a former pianist at the Berlin Staatsoper, will each accompany on two pianos, portraying the free spirit and love of young artists.
