Hanwha Aerospace, '3.5 Trillion KRW Scale' K9 Self-Propelled Howitzer Poland 2nd Export

Hanwha Aerospace will export K9 self-propelled howitzers worth 3.5 trillion KRW to Poland.
On the 4th, Hanwha Aerospace announced that it signed a '2nd Executive Contract' worth approximately 3.4474 trillion KRW (about 2.6 billion USD) with the Polish Armaments Agency to additionally export K9 self-propelled howitzers and other equipment.
In July last year, Hanwha Aerospace signed a basic contract (Framework) with the Polish Armaments Agency to export 672 K9 units and 288 Chunmoo multiple rocket launchers. In August of the same year, they signed the first contract for 212 K9 units, and in November, for 218 Chunmoo units. This contract involves sequentially supplying 152 units, part of the remaining 460 K9 units under contract, by 2027, conditional on financial contract execution and other terms.
Through this contract, Hanwha Aerospace will supply Poland with K9 self-propelled howitzers, 155mm ammunition for the howitzers, and an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) package for K9 maintenance and repair, as well as cooperate in local production of K9 maintenance parts.

A Hanwha Aerospace official stated, "Based on the deep trust established through the execution of existing contracts, we have built a continuous cooperative relationship with Poland," adding, "We will complete all remaining contract volumes for exports to Poland and strive to make K-defense a future growth engine for the Republic of Korea."
