Democratic Party Gwangju, Senior Committee Launches... Resolves to Win General Election
The Democratic Party of Korea Gwangju Metropolitan City Party announced on the 3rd that it held the inauguration ceremony of the Senior (Silver) Committee at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center.
At the advance rally that day, about 150 people attended, including Lee Byung-hoon, chairman of the Democratic Party Gwangju City Party, Choi Rak-do, chairman of the Democratic Party National Senior Committee, Park Myung-sim, chairman of the Democratic Party Gwangju City Party Senior Committee, regional chairpersons from various parts of Gwangju, elected officials affiliated with the party, and key party members.
The attendees declared in a resolution, "The people are enraged by the incompetent and irresponsible governance of the Yoon Seok-yeol administration," and stated, "The Democratic Party Gwangju City Party Senior (Silver) Committee strongly condemns the Yoon Seok-yeol administration, which ignores people's livelihoods and is filled with incompetence and arrogance."
They continued, "We pledge to stand at the forefront to expand the people's sovereignty and community spirit to create a great Gwangju and to stop the incompetent government that plunges the people into difficulties."
Park Myung-sim, chairman of the Democratic Party Gwangju City Party Senior (Silver) Committee, asserted, "The prosecutorial dictatorship government has trampled on the precious values of democracy," and added, "The most precious value, democracy, which our people have protected with their blood and sweat, is collapsing before our eyes."
She further stated, "The Senior (Silver) Committee will boldly confront the oppression of the Yoon Seok-yeol administration and take the lead in winning the 2024 general election."
