Gwangju Seo-gu Yang 3-dong, Love Kimchi Sharing Event
The Yang 3-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee in Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, announced on the 3rd that they delivered homemade kimchi to 110 households in need of care.
Organized by the Residents' Autonomy Committee and supported by the neighborhood leaders and the Saemaeul Women's Association, over 50 volunteers salted cabbages and prepared seasonings over three days to make 350 heads of kimchi.
The kimchi, made with sincere care, was delivered to 110 underprivileged households in the district.
Jang Jong-yeon, chairman of the Residents' Autonomy Committee, said, "I deeply appreciate the members of the self-governing organizations who participated from preparing the ingredients to making the kimchi despite the cold weather."
He added, "I hope that everyone in the community will have a warm winter after receiving this kimchi filled with the heartfelt care of neighbors."
