Choi Hogwon, Yeongdeungpo-gu Mayor, Delivers Briquettes to Sheds, Spreading Warmth
Choi Ho-kwon, the mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, participated in briquette delivery volunteer work in a jjokbangchon (small room village) on the morning of the 2nd.
With the arrival of the full winter season, the mayor, along with senior officials, district employees, and 15 volunteers, took part in delivering briquettes to help the residents of the jjokbangchon stay warm during the winter.
Despite the cold weather, the staff shared warmth by delivering 1,000 briquettes to five households in the Yeongdeungpo-dong jjokbangchon with bright smiles.

Choi Ho-kwon, mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, said, “I hope the briquettes filled with warmth will provide some help to the residents of the jjokbangchon who endure the harsh winter,” adding, “We will carefully look after every corner of the community to ensure vulnerable groups can spend a warm winter and build a dense welfare safety net.”
