Hyundai Construction Consortium Awarded Main Equipment Construction Contract for Shin Hanul Units 3 and 4 Nuclear Power Plant
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power announced on the 30th that it has selected the Hyundai Engineering & Construction consortium (Hyundai Engineering & Construction, Doosan Enerbility, POSCO E&C) as the successful bidder for the main equipment construction of the Shin Hanul Units 3 and 4 nuclear power plants.
The winning bid price is approximately 3.1196 trillion KRW. The main equipment construction refers to civil engineering, architecture, mechanical, electrical, piping, instrumentation installation, and commissioning related to major nuclear power plant equipment.
KHNP stated that it applied the 'Comprehensive Evaluation Bidding System' for the first time in nuclear power plant construction in this bidding. The successful bidder was determined by comprehensively evaluating construction capability, construction plan, and bid price, and selecting the bidder with the highest total score.
