LG Electronics to Extend Electric Vehicle Charger Operating Hours Starting December
From December, 9 AM to 10 PM
LG Electronics announced on the 30th that it will expand the operating hours of its electric vehicle charger service, which was previously available only during weekday daytime hours, to include weekday nights and weekends starting December 11. Customers will be able to use the service from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. regardless of weekdays, weekends, or holidays.

LG Electronics entered the electric vehicle charging market starting with solution pre-development in 2018 and acquiring HiBee Charger (formerly Apple Mango). In May, it launched four types of fast and slow electric vehicle chargers. President Cho Joo-wan also revealed a future vision to develop the electric vehicle charging business into a trillion-won scale enterprise.
Currently, LG Electronics provides charging solutions by installing 100kW fast chargers and 7kW slow chargers at about 30 Emart stores nationwide. It plans to enter the U.S. market next year.
