The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) announced on the 30th that it will hold the 60th Trade Day commemorative event, the "2023 KITA Overseas Marketing Expo," at COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, from the 29th to the 30th. Trade Day is on the 5th of next month.
KITA has been hosting the Overseas Marketing Expo since 2008. This year, 152 buyers from 26 countries participated. Over 800 domestic companies conducted more than 2,300 consultations.
In this event, the participation ratio of buyers from the U.S., Vietnam, India, China, and Japan was expanded to over 50%. This was based on KITA's "Overseas Business Demand Survey" results from last September. Additionally, the ratio of invited excellent existing big buyers to new big buyers was adjusted to 5:5 to support diversification of Korean companies' business partners.
By product category, buyers of not only consumer goods but also industrial goods, information technology (IT), and bio-healthcare were invited to support diversification of export items from Korean companies.

KITA also held side events such as the "Trade and Investment Seminar and Consulting for Foreign Diplomats in Korea" and the "Overseas Marketing Comprehensive Seminar." At the special pavilion for diplomatic missions within the venue, diplomatic missions from 12 countries in Korea provided consultations on their countries' trade and investment environments and business opportunities. At the Overseas Marketing Comprehensive Seminar, presentations were made on next year's global trade environment and exchange rate outlook, as well as export marketing strategies using ChatGPT and TikTok for small and medium-sized enterprises. On-site consulting by KITA's expert committee members was also conducted.
