Expectations for Accelerated Entry into Central Asia Market
Fashion Group Hyungji announced on the 28th that it will cooperate with Tajikistan to develop the textile and fashion industry in order to enter the Central Asian market.
Tajikistan is a textile powerhouse in Central Asia, with cotton accounting for about 60% of agricultural production. Of the annual cotton production of 100,000 tons, 90% is exported. The population is also rapidly increasing, and it is evaluated to have high growth potential.
Choi Jun-ho, Vice Chairman of Fashion Group Hyungji, is scheduled to meet with Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon soon to discuss cooperation plans in the textile and fashion industry. Earlier, on the 26th and 27th of last month, he attended the "Tajikistan 2023 Universal Exhibition Fair" held in the capital Dushanbe at the invitation of the Tajikistan government. Local government officials expressed high expectations for cooperation with K-textile fashion companies, which possess excellent technology and sophisticated design, citing the global popularity of K-content.
