Emphasis at KB Tech Forum Gathering IT and Digital Employees
Yang Jong-hee, Chairman of KB Financial Group, emphasized the importance of information technology (IT) and digital innovation to the employees of its affiliates.
On the 27th, KB Financial Group announced that Chairman Yang attended the 'KB Tech Forum' held on the 24th at the new building of KB Kookmin Bank's headquarters in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. At the event, Chairman Yang stated, "IT and digital are no longer just means to support banking operations but are now the core sectors leading the forefront of banking." He added, "It is crucial to shift all businesses from face-to-face to non-face-to-face models and to cultivate and strengthen talent accordingly."
Launched in October 2021 and now in its fifth session, the KB Tech Forum is an event where all employees responsible for IT and digital tasks across affiliates attend to share the development status and achievements of advanced technology projects such as data, digital, and artificial intelligence (AI) promoted by KB Financial Group.
In the keynote speech, Kim Seung-il, founder of AI Innovation School iPEEL and CEO of Everyone's Lab, delivered a lecture on the topic "Skills and Competencies Required for Developers in the Era of Generative AI."
During the developer session that followed, presentations covered topics including ▲building a visitor management system using low-code ▲real-time price processing on the high-performance financial platform M-able ▲developing a super app that provides all services of KB Insurance at once ▲establishing a CJM-based scenario wave campaign environment to activate AI marketing ▲AWS operation strategies to improve global service speed ▲work support based on an internalized generative AI model ▲development of an integrated monitoring dashboard for channel platforms for new employees ▲business improvements and effects from the introduction of new API technologies.
Meanwhile, the event also featured a ‘New Technology Booth’ where attendees could directly experience and share opinions on new technologies from KB Kookmin Bank and KB Securities.
