Mapo-gu Hosts Korean Traditional Sport 'Gukhak Qigong Competition'
Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited the site of the 14th Mapo District Mayor's Cup National Korean Qigong Competition held in the district auditorium on the morning of the 26th.
Hosted by Mapo District and the Mapo District Sports Council, and organized by the Mapo District National Korean Qigong Association, approximately 250 participants and officials attended the event.
At the opening ceremony held before the main competition, Mayor Park Gang-su awarded commendations to meritorious individuals and delivered an encouragement speech to the participating athletes.
From 10:40 a.m., the competition began, where the participants showcased their smooth and graceful movements of qigong exercises and qigong postures, raising the excitement of the event to its peak.

In his encouragement speech, Mayor Park Gang-su said, “I hope that through this competition, National Korean Qigong, a traditional sport of our country, will become widely known and spread,” and added, “I wish everyone participating in the competition to create beautiful and touching memories by interacting with each other beyond winning or losing.”
