Israel and the Palestinian armed faction Hamas entered a four-day ceasefire at 7 a.m. local time (2 p.m. Korean time) on the 24th. As previously announced by the mediator Qatar, both sides plan to gradually exchange hostages over the four-day ceasefire period.
According to the Times of Israel, the Israeli government and Hamas confirmed the implementation of the temporary ceasefire on the 48th day of the conflict. The first hostage exchange between Israel and Hamas is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. local time (11 p.m. Korean time) on the same day. On the first day, 13 Israeli hostages and 39 Palestinian prisoners are expected to be exchanged.
