Promotion and Exhibition Booth Operation for Gokseong Taran Processed Products

Jeonnam Gokseong-gun (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) Torandoran Rural Convergence Business Group announced that it will operate a promotional exhibition booth for Gokseong Taro processed products at the "18th Seoul International Food Industry Exhibition" held at COEX, Seoul, for four days from the 22nd to the 25th.

The Seoul International Food Industry Exhibition is the largest comprehensive food exhibition in Korea, showcasing the future of the food industry from domestic and international premium foods to alternative foods, new foods, manufacturing automation, smart distribution, and farm tech.

Through this exhibition, the Gokseong Torandoran Rural Convergence Business Group took the opportunity to promote Gokseong taro and rural convergence industries to domestic and international importers and consumers in the metropolitan area.

Taro is a crop unfamiliar to young people in urban areas and is often recognized only as "Taro Tang," a dish eaten mainly during the Chuseok holiday. Accordingly, the business group exhibited various processed products using taro, such as Makgeolli, Manju, taro chips, and pies.

They plan to actively promote the various benefits of taro and present it as a new and attractive food to consumers.

A representative of the Gokseong Torandoran Rural Convergence Business Group said, "We plan to continuously participate in various fairs and exhibitions to widely promote and sell Gokseong taro. We will make efforts in many ways to contribute to expanding interest and the consumer base for diverse and delicious Gokseong taro."

Gokseong-gun was selected as a Gokseong Torandoran Rural Convergence Industrial Zone in January. Since May, the business group has been organized and operated, and a Gokseong taro experience center is operated year-round in the Seomjingang Train Village.
