The 'TIGER AI Bandochae Core Process ETF' surpassed 10 billion KRW in cumulative net purchases by individuals just three days after its listing, Mirae Asset Global Investments announced on the 24th.
According to the Korea Exchange, as of the 23rd, the cumulative net purchase amount by individuals for the TIGER AI Bandochae Core Process ETF stands at 12.8 billion KRW. This product focuses intensively on HBM (High Bandwidth Memory), the core of artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductors. HBM is a semiconductor optimized for AI semiconductor demand that requires significantly increased bandwidth to process large amounts of data at once. Its manufacturing requires advanced packaging core process technology, and currently, South Korea accounts for about 90% of the global HBM market. These companies are expected to enjoy special benefits alongside the growth of AI semiconductors.
As of the previous day, the TIGER AI Bandochae Core Process ETF has the highest proportion of AI semiconductor-related stocks, including HBM, among domestically listed semiconductor investment ETFs. Major included stocks are Hanmi Semiconductor (16.8%), Isu Petasys (8.8%), EO Technics (8.5%), and Hana Micron (6.4%). It excludes Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, which have large market shares in mobile and PC sectors, and is composed only of companies with high potential growth. Currently, as the miniaturization process shifts from 4-nanometer to 3-nanometer ultra-fine processes, it also includes core companies in miniaturization processes such as extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUV) and gate-all-around (GAA).
