Vuno Supplies X-ray Interpretation Assistance Solution to Uzbek Military Hospital
Medical AI company VUNO recently announced on the 23rd that it has supplied two AI-based X-ray reading assistance solutions to five major military hospitals, including the Uzbekistan Armed Forces Central Hospital.
The solutions introduced to the Uzbekistan military hospitals are VUNO's AI-based upper extremity X-ray reading assistance solution, ‘VUNO Med-Extremity X-ray,’ and a package product equipped with the AI-based chest X-ray reading assistance solution ‘VUNO Med-Chest X-ray’ installed on mobile X-ray equipment.
Both products were developed as part of the ‘Advancement and Demonstration Project of AI Reading System Based on Military Medical Imaging Data,’ promoted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA). They are designed to enable on-site medical services mainly in remote areas, reducing diagnostic discrepancies and effectively assisting medical personnel even in regions with underdeveloped medical infrastructure.
Earlier, VUNO collaborated with NIPA to install the products at the Uzbekistan Armed Forces Central Hospital in May and successfully conducted a six-month usability evaluation. Based on the excellent evaluation results, the two products have been supplied to five local military hospitals, including the Armed Forces Central Hospital, regional military hospitals, and the Armed Forces Medical School.
The VUNO Med-Extremity X-ray supplied this time is AI software that analyzes upper extremity X-ray images, referring to anatomical parts from the shoulder to the fingertips, based on deep learning. It provides information on the presence and location of abnormalities in six areas prone to injuries among military personnel: the wrist, hand, forearm, elbow, shoulder, and humerus.
Additionally, the package product equipped with VUNO Med-Chest X-ray on mobile X-ray equipment allows easy chest X-ray imaging of patients in various situations without separate shielding facilities. Based on AI, it provides reading results within seconds, significantly improving the efficiency and accuracy of readings in medical environments.
