Office for Government Policy Coordination Holds ODA Fieldwork Enhancement Forum... "Actively Utilizing Civil Society Experience"
The Office for Government Policy Coordination's International Development Cooperation Headquarters announced on the 22nd that it held the 'Government-Civil Society Public Development Assistance (ODA) Field Effectiveness Enhancement International Forum.'
This event was an opportunity to explore systematic cooperation measures with civil society to promote ODA focused on field demand and effectiveness. It was co-hosted with the International Development Cooperation Civil Society Council at the Global Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul, as part of the Development Cooperation Week event taking place from the 20th to the 24th.
Pilar Garrido, Director of Development Cooperation at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), who appeared as a presenter, introduced international trends such as the utilization status of civil society partnerships by member countries. Kang Min-ji, Division Head of Save the Children Korea, presented on the definition and cases of localization, implementation status, and challenges.
Han Kyung-pil, Head of the International Development Cooperation Headquarters, said, "Through strengthening government-civil society partnerships, we need to more actively utilize the field experience and expertise of civil society."
