Seven Eleven announced on the 22nd that the "31st Children's Environmental Art Contest," held to support children's creative activities and encourage overcoming the climate crisis, has successfully concluded.
The Children's Environmental Art Contest, first held in 1993, marked its 31st edition this year. This year, applications were accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through the official Seven Eleven website, targeting students from 1st to 6th grade in elementary schools nationwide. Participants uploaded image files directly to the website.
This year's contest theme was "The Appearance of People Around the World Overcoming the Climate Crisis," and a total of 2,000 artworks were submitted. The theme was selected through an internal vote by Seven Eleven employees. The judging process included evaluations by art experts as well as online voting by employees.
Seven Eleven announced the winners on the 7th via its official website. The grand prize, which includes the Minister of Environment Award and a cash prize of 1 million KRW, was awarded to Lee Yu-chan from Hanbyeol Elementary School in Seo-gu, Incheon, for the work titled "Hand in Hand." Additionally, two recipients of the Excellence Award will receive 500,000 KRW each, and five third-place winners will receive 300,000 KRW each. All participants will be given a Seven Eleven mobile gift certificate worth 3,000 KRW.

The eight selected winning artworks will be displayed on the Seven Eleven website, social media platforms (SNS), as well as on POS customer screens and digital signage at stores nationwide.
