On September 18th, Park was crossing the crosswalk in front of her house on her way to work, following the pedestrian green light, when she was hit by a vehicle.
It was reported that the driver, while inside the car, tried to pick up some documents and accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake.
Four people were injured in the accident. However, unlike the other victims who only suffered minor abrasions, Park lost consciousness upon being transported to the hospital.
Despite the medical staff’s active treatment, Park remained unconscious for over a month, and her family realized the moment had come to say goodbye. Honoring Park’s wish to help others, they decided to proceed with organ donation.
According to the donation agency, Park, the youngest of one son and two daughters born in Anyang-si, Gyeonggi Province, was known to be bright, active, and warm-hearted, always reaching out first to those in need.
She loved people and enjoyed giving to others through blood donation and volunteering whenever she had time.
She was a diligent person who pursued self-development by working in various fields such as research institute accounting, animal hospitals, and the food service industry, always seeking what she loved.

You told me to live happily like the bluebird when you wrote me a bluebird postcard. I will live like the bluebird too, so I hope you are not in pain and are happy in heaven. I love you. And thank you,” she said in her final farewell.
