Walk Barefoot at Ulju Jinha Beach! ... 'Super Earthing' Experience Event
A ‘Super Earthing’ experience event, where participants walk barefoot on the sandy beach, will be held at Jinha Beach in Ulju-gun, Ulsan City.
Ulju Cultural Center announced on the 21st that it will hold the ‘Find Jinha! Find Health! 2023 Jinha Beach Barefoot Walking’ experience event on the sandy beach of Jinha Beach at 1:30 PM on the 25th.
This event is hosted and organized by Ulju Cultural Center, with support from Ulju-gun, the Ulju-gun Council, and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Participants will walk barefoot for a round trip of 3 km along the beach from Myeongseongyo Bridge at Jinha Beach to the end of the beach in front of Ulju Marine Sports Center, and will also engage in plogging activities by picking up trash left on the beach.
Jinha Beach has fine sand, a wide and flat sandy beach, making it comfortable for people of all ages to walk. It is equipped with convenience facilities such as an outdoor foot washing station, making it an ideal place for barefoot walking.
In particular, participants can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Jinha Beach and the landscape of Myeongseondo, which was selected as Korea’s best travel destination in the ‘2023 SRTm Awards,’ making it a popular barefoot walking spot.
Walking barefoot on the sand soaked with seawater allows the body to absorb the abundant negative ions in the seawater, maximizing the earthing effect known as the ‘Super Earthing’ effect, which is said to be greatly beneficial to health.
In fact, as barefoot walking has recently gained popularity, the number of people walking barefoot on the sandy beach at Jinha Beach in Ulju-gun has been increasing from early morning until late evening.
Those wishing to participate in the Jinha Beach barefoot walking event can pre-register on the Ulju Cultural Center website or register on-site from 1:30 PM on the day of the event. Both pre-registration and on-site registration are limited to the first 150 applicants each. Participants will be provided with a shoe bag and biodegradable plastic bags for collecting trash.
