EcoEye Listed on KOSDAQ... "Contributing to the Realization of Global Carbon Neutrality Policies"
EcoEye, an environmental specialist company focused on the carbon emissions trading sector, held a listing ceremony on the 21st at the Korea Exchange in Yeouido, Seoul. On the same day, EcoEye was listed on the KOSDAQ market and trading began.
EcoEye is a company primarily engaged in greenhouse gas reduction projects. It generates revenue by trading carbon emission rights issued through the execution of greenhouse gas reduction projects in both domestic and overseas markets.
According to Yonhap News on the 15th, global climate crisis response and related issues are emerging, with the United States and China announcing a joint statement pledging to strengthen cooperation on climate crisis response ahead of their summit.
Following the joint statement on strengthening US-China cooperation on the climate crisis, a '2020s Climate Action Enhancement Working Group' will be launched, jointly chaired by climate envoys from both countries and involving relevant ministries. The working group will focus on areas confirmed in previous joint statements and declarations, such as energy transition, methane, circular economy, efficient resource use, low carbon, and deforestation, as well as other topics agreed upon by both countries.
In South Korea, the government is expected to continuously reduce the free allocation ratio of carbon emission rights to companies, and with the expansion of the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), carbon emission rights prices are predicted to rise, which is anticipated to boost EcoEye’s business.
The raised public offering funds will be used to increase the equity ratio of investments in greenhouse gas reduction projects, expand existing businesses, and develop new greenhouse gas reduction projects.
