Gochang-gun and Jeonbuk Technopark Join Hands for Mutual Cooperation and Win-Win Development

Gochang-gun, Jeollabuk-do (Governor Shim Deok-seop) and Jeonbuk Technopark (Director Lee Gyu-taek) announced on the 21st that they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for establishing a mutual cooperation system and win-win development at the county office the previous day.

Jeonbuk Technopark, a hub institution for industrial and scientific technology innovation in Jeollabuk-do, was established to contribute to revitalizing the regional economy and national economic development through the advancement of technology in regional strategic industries and the promotion and growth of new technology startups. It is striving to create an environment for fostering knowledge-based regional industries and building infrastructure to support companies.

The signing ceremony was held with the attendance of Shim Deok-seop, Governor of Gochang-gun, the director of Jeonbuk Technopark, and related officials including the head of the Energy Industry Promotion Division. Through this MOU, they agreed to establish a cooperative system and mutually collaborate.

The main contents of the MOU include ▲establishing plans for fostering the renewable energy industry and discovering and planning new projects ▲fostering and discovering leading regional innovation companies, and providing comprehensive support to resolve difficulties such as building a growth ladder system for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Lee Gyu-taek, Director of Jeonbuk Technopark, stated, “We will perform our role as an innovative institution leading the growth of regional companies.”

Shim Deok-seop, Governor of Gochang-gun, said, “We will cooperate with Jeonbuk Technopark to foster the renewable energy industry and discover new projects to lead regional innovation.”
