The Love Kimchi Sharing event, which started in 2006, is Daewon Pharmaceutical’s representative social contribution activity where employees personally prepare kimchi and deliver it to vulnerable neighbors such as elderly people living alone and child-headed households who have difficulty getting through the winter, practicing sharing within the local community. Many officials attended the event, including Baek Seung-yeol, Vice Chairman of Daewon Pharmaceutical, Kim Ju-il, Vice President, and Kwon Young-gyu, Chairman of the Seoul Branch of the Korean Red Cross.
About 200 Daewon Pharmaceutical employees and Korean Red Cross volunteers personally prepared 7,200 kg of kimchi. The finished kimchi will be delivered to 529 households of Hope Windmill families and vulnerable groups selected by Seongdong-gu Office. So far, through this initiative, more than 20,000 households have received over 70 tons of kimchi.

Vice Chairman Baek Seung-yeol said, "We have held the Love Kimchi Sharing event every year so that our neighbors in difficult circumstances can spend the winter warmer and happier," adding, "It is especially meaningful that the Love Kimchi Sharing, which had been replaced by delivering finished kimchi products due to COVID-19, has resumed after four years." Chairman Kwon Young-gyu also said, "Thanks to the Daewon Pharmaceutical employees who gathered despite the severe cold, more than 1,000 vulnerable neighbors have been able to spend the winter warmly every year," and added, "We thank all Daewon Pharmaceutical members who have consistently supported this event through its 18 editions."
