'Zeus' Dominates as T1 Leads 2-0 on Weibo in Worlds Finals
T1 of the domestic League of Legends (LoL) league LCK is leading 2-0 in sets against China's LPL team Weibo Gaming in the finals of the international tournament LoL World Championship (Worlds) held on the 19th.
With 'Zeus' Choi Woo-je leading the charge, T1 dominated Weibo in both laning phase and team fights, bringing them to the brink of winning the Worlds championship.
Weibo took the first point by securing a kill on 'Faker' Lee Sang-hyeok in the first set and gained an advantage over T1 by getting kills against Zeus and 'Oner' Moon Hyun-jun in the top lane.
However, around the 18-minute mark, T1 evened the score by taking down 'Light' Wang Guangyu, 'TheShy' Kang Seung-rok, and even Oner, who was playing as the opposing jungler 'Weiwei' from Weibo, in a mid-lane team fight. Then, around 21 minutes, with the efforts of Oner and 'Gumayusi' Lee Min-hyung, T1 achieved an ace on Weibo, showcasing a dominant difference in gameplay.
Building on the early lead they established, T1, led by Zeus, pressured Weibo's base and decisively took the first set within 30 minutes. Zeus's performance continued to shine in the second set. Around the 7-minute mark, after Oner's gank left TheShy in critical condition and retreating, Zeus boldly executed a tower dive on the unsuspecting target and secured a kill.
