National Gwangju Science Museum, 35th Phil Science Lecture
The National Gwangju Science Museum will hold the 35th Phil Science Lecture titled "Interesting Stories about Cars" at 2 p.m. on the 25th in the Sang-sang Hall of the building.
This lecture will invite Professor Kim Pil-su from Daelim University, an expert in the mobility field, and Team Leader Park Ji-young from the Korea Transport Institute to discuss the changing cars and means of transportation focusing on "future cars."
Through examples such as autonomous vehicles, UAM (Urban Air Mobility), and other various future cars along with the evolving modes of transportation, the lecture will explore what the transportation means we will use in the future might look like.
The lecture is designed to be engaging not only for adults but also for children, and a separate session will be provided where, led by a professional moderator, participants can resolve various questions about future transportation together with the two speakers.
The first speaker, Professor Kim Pil-su, formerly served as the president of the Korea Electric Vehicle Association and is currently a professor in the Department of Future Automotive Engineering at Daelim University.
He has authored various books including ▲"60 Seconds of Harsh Words on Car Traffic" ▲"The Electric Car Revolution Running Toward the Future" ▲"Where Will Cars Go? Stop & Start," and operates the YouTube channel "Kim Pil-su's Car Laboratory" to communicate with the public.
The second speaker, Team Leader Park Ji-young, works in the Mobility Strategy and International Cooperation Team at the Korea Transport Institute and is active in various fields such as the Special Committee on Fine Dust Countermeasures, the Eco-friendly Transportation Policy Council, and the Urban Regeneration Working Committee.
