Seongdong Love Gift Certificates Issued Worth 10 Billion Won
Last Issuance of 10 Billion Won Seongdong Love Gift Certificates Starting at 2 PM on November 22
All Previously Issued 40 Billion Won Gift Certificates Sold Out Amid Resident Enthusiasm and Interest This Year
Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jung Won-oh) will issue Seongdong Love Gift Certificates worth 10 billion KRW starting at 2 p.m. on the 22nd of this month to welcome the winter season.
This year, due to the unusually soaring prices and prolonged recession caused by weakened consumer sentiment, small business owners are facing many difficulties. To overcome this situation, Seongdong-gu has continuously promoted the issuance of Seongdong Love Gift Certificates.
This issuance is the fifth this year following 18 billion KRW in January, 10 billion KRW in May, and 12 billion KRW (in two rounds) in September, and is expected to be sold in the amount of 10 billion KRW. The previously issued gift certificates worth 40 billion KRW were all sold out, and especially the 12 billion KRW issued twice in September sold out on the same day, confirming the high interest of residents and small business owners.
Issued at a 7% discount, this Seongdong Love Gift Certificate is the last issuance of the year, expected to reduce household burdens for residents and provide a warm winter by increasing sales and easing commission burdens for small business owners.
Purchases can be made through five apps including Seoul Pay, Shinhan SOL, and T-money Pay, with a monthly limit of 500,000 KRW per person. When paying, a 30% year-end tax deduction on income is available. The gift certificates can be conveniently used in various sectors within Seongdong-gu, such as traditional markets, academies, restaurants, and beauty salons.
