The 2nd Gwangjin-gu Migaro Gogo Festival Successfully Held

Various Events Including Free Tastings at Migaro Restaurants, Singing Contest, and Guest Singer Performances
On the 17th, the ‘2nd Migaro Gogo Festival’ was successfully held at Migaro, a food alley in Guui-dong, Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho).
Located near Guui Station, ‘Migaro’ is one of Gwangjin-gu’s representative food streets along with Konkuk University Food Street. With about 540 stores including restaurants and cafes, it is a popular spot frequently visited by nearby office workers, residents, and visitors.
The Migaro Commercial Association (President Kwak Chang-sik) held the festival again after a four-year hiatus due to COVID-19 since 2019. Highlighting Migaro’s unique characteristics, the festival opened with a variety of popular restaurants and abundant attractions.
First, a preliminary event featured a residents’ singing contest where participants showcased their honed skills. Exciting Nanta performances and break dance shows by B-boys followed, further elevating the festival atmosphere.
The main event included an opening ceremony and a food market. Guests gave congratulatory speeches celebrating the festival’s opening, and a free tasting event was held. Visitors were able to freely enjoy various dishes from Migaro’s diverse restaurants.
A flea market, prize events, and other colorful activities also captured attention, and the atmosphere of the festival was fully energized by a congratulatory performance from a guest singer.
The festival continued until late afternoon, attracting over 300 attendees and achieving great success.
