The sweet texture and top quality of Muju Firefly Grapes (hereinafter Shine Muscat) have opened the way for exports to Vietnam.
On the 17th, according to Muju County, a total of 8 tons of Shine Muscat destined for Vietnam were shipped from the Muju Agricultural Products Distribution Center. This export will be sold at local supermarkets in Vietnam through Nonghyup Trade.

At the shipping ceremony, about 10 people including Hwang In-hong, the governor of Muju County, Kwak Dong-yeol, chairman of Muju Nonghyup, Kim Seong-gon, chairman of Gucheon-dong Nonghyup, Yang Si-chun, CEO of Muju Firefly Cooperative Joint Business Corporation, and grape farmers gathered to wish for export success and market expansion.
A representative of the Muju Firefly Cooperative Joint Business Corporation stated, "Muju Firefly Grapes (Shine Muscat) are highly popular in Vietnam due to their high sugar content, excellent flesh texture, and outstanding quality," adding, "We will do our best to maintain quality, increase quantity, and expand sales channels to continue the export path."
Meanwhile, since 2021, the county has exported a total of 16 tons of grapes and 233 tons of apples to Vietnam. In addition, it is focusing on expanding the Southeast Asian market by exporting 94 tons of apples to places such as Singapore and Hong Kong.
