HD Hyundai Wins CES 2024 Innovation Award... Demonstrating Future Technology Across Land and Sea
HD Hyundai Site Solutions First Award, Abicus 'NeuBoat' Wins for 2 Consecutive Years
HD Hyundai won the CES Innovation Award again this year, following last year.
On the 16th (local time), HD Hyundai announced at the 'CES 2024 Innovation Awards' that three products received innovation awards: the Smart Collision Mitigation with Sensor Fusion for excavators, the AI-based machine assistance for construction equipment (X-Agent), and the autonomous navigation solution for leisure boats (NeuBoat Navi).
The CES Innovation Award is given by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) in the United States to products from companies showcasing the most innovative technologies ahead of CES, the world's largest IT and electronics exhibition held every January in Las Vegas, USA. HD Hyundai also won nine innovation awards at CES 2023.
HD Hyundai Site Solutions, which received the CES Innovation Award for the first time this year, produced award-winning products in the Vehicle Tech & Advanced Mobility category and the Mobile Devices, Accessories & Apps category.
The 'Sensor Fusion Excavator Collision Mitigation System' is a system that detects people around the excavator and automatically stops to prevent safety accidents between equipment and workers.
HD Hyundai Site Solutions utilized fusion technology that complements the weaknesses of cameras and radars for the first time in the world, significantly improving obstacle discrimination ability and distance measurement accuracy compared to existing single sensor products.
The 'AI-based Machine Assistance X-Agent,' which enhances the equipment proficiency and productivity of operators of construction machinery such as excavators, wheel loaders, and trucks, embodies HD Hyundai's world-class unmanned and electrification technology.
The AI autonomously recognizes and judges equipment information, work environment, and work plans to provide optimized equipment operation guidance to the operator, and also supports remote control functions that allow equipment operation even in work environments with spatial and temporal constraints.
Avikus, HD Hyundai's specialized autonomous navigation company for ships, won the award for the second consecutive year with 'NeuBoat Navi,' which improved the AI recognition and control functions of the leisure boat autonomous navigation solution 'NeuBoat' that won last year, implementing a more user-friendly display.
