The H-Techno Valley, where the RE100 complex is being promoted, is a semiconductor and future car specialized complex covering 220,000 pyeong in the Yodang-ri area of Yanggam-myeon, Hwaseong-si. The business plan was approved last June, and completion is scheduled for 2025.
The agreement institutions plan to install solar power and hydrogen fuel cell power generation facilities on idle spaces such as rooftops and parking lots of companies residing in H-Techno Valley to supply 100% of the electricity used within the complex from renewable energy.
According to the agreement, Hwaseong Urban Corporation and Hanwha Solutions, as the implementing agencies, will promote the installation, operation, and leasing of renewable energy infrastructure for resident companies. Hwaseong-si, as the authority approving the business plan, will cooperate with Gyeonggi-do to support all administrative procedures for the province's first RE100 industrial complex, including resident companies' RE100 compliance and the establishment of renewable energy infrastructure for resident companies.
