The Lotte Class, which will be operated for the first time in March next year, will recruit freshmen for the Bio Cultivation Process Department at Korea Polytechnic University Bio Campus. Thirty students will be recruited next year. Priority will be given to socially disadvantaged groups such as basic livelihood security recipients, and those with excellent English skills will be given preferential treatment. The curriculum will be operated with subjects necessary for core bio theories and practical training such as production, quality control and quality assurance (QC·QA), good manufacturing practice (GMP), and validation, and a systematic intensive English program will also be offered throughout all semesters.
A representative from Lotte Biologics stated, “We plan to fulfill our social responsibility by providing field-customized education and internship opportunities to students at Korea Polytechnic University Bio Campus and prioritizing their employment as production personnel in the future, thereby expanding industry-academia cooperation opportunities.” He added, “Through the Lotte Class, we hope to maximize synergy by providing students with the practical experience they need based on our company’s bio expertise and know-how, while nurturing outstanding talent for the company.”
