Gwangyang Steelworks Hairdressing Volunteer Group Provides 'Beauty Service' at Welfare Facility

Posco Gwangyang Steelworks (Director Lee Jin-su) subsidiary Kkakkahair Beauty Talent Volunteer Group shared warm love by conducting beauty volunteer activities at Gwangyang Silverland Nursing Home and Gwangyang Disabled Welfare Center on the 13th and 15th, respectively.
Starting from a fellowship group of Gwangyang Steelworks employees who wanted to share warm affection with neighbors by utilizing their long-standing beauty skills since 2003, the Kkakkahair Beauty Talent Volunteer Group officially launched as a talent volunteer group in January 2016.
The Haircut and Beauty Volunteer Group from Gwangyang Steelworks is conducting hairdressing volunteer activities at the Gwangyang Disabled Welfare Center.

They regularly visit social welfare facilities such as village halls, senior centers, welfare facilities for the disabled, and nursing homes in the region to provide not only hair and beauty services but also diverse volunteer activities such as longevity photo makeup and nail art to their neighbors.
In addition, most members of the Kkakkahair Beauty Talent Volunteer Group are professionals holding beauty licenses, continuing high-quality activities befitting the purpose of a talent volunteer group.
In particular, their talent donation activities are especially meaningful as they greatly help neighbors who have difficulty getting haircuts due to mobility issues or unfavorable conditions for going out.
On the 13th and 15th, the volunteers visited social welfare facilities and provided haircut and styling services using combs, scissors, razors, and other tools they prepared themselves, bringing smiles to the faces of the elderly.
Over two days, they gifted wonderful changes to about 30 elderly people, and through this volunteer activity, they have provided beauty services to approximately 4,800 neighbors since 2016.
