Rainy Suneung Exam... But Even the Sky Holds Its Breath During English Listening Test
No Cold Snap for Suneung but Rain Expected
Nationwide Average Precipitation 5~30mm
Rain to Intensify Around 3-6 PM
The so-called 'Suneung cold wave,' which reliably arrives every year around the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT), is not expected this year. However, rain is forecasted on the day of the exam, so bringing an umbrella is necessary.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 15th, temperatures on the 16th, the day of the CSAT, are expected to be at or above average. Before the exam entry time, prior to 8 a.m., the sky will be cloudy nationwide, and rain will begin in the western regions from midday after entry.
The rain will spread nationwide in the afternoon and continue even after the exam ends. The average precipitation across the country is expected to be between 5 and 30 mm. Since there is a possibility of rain before entry, it is strongly advised that test-takers bring an umbrella.
There is a chance of gusty winds, thunder, and lightning mainly in some western areas. However, the heaviest rainfall is expected between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., which should avoid the English listening test time.

Fine dust levels are expected to be 'moderate' across all regions. However, the Seoul metropolitan area and Chungcheong region may temporarily experience 'unhealthy' levels in the morning.
