Naejangsan National Park Baegam Office Restricts Some Trails During Autumn Wildfire Prevention Period
Check Open Trail Sections Before Hiking and Plan Your Hike Accordingly
The Baegamsa Office of Naejangsan National Park under the Korea National Park Service (Director Andongsoon) announced on the 15th that some trails will be closed from the 15th to December 15th to prevent forest fires during the fall of 2023.
The restricted sections are ▲ Ggachibong Ridge Three-way Intersection to Sunchang Saejae (2.6km) ▲ Jangseong Saejae to Sangwangbong (4.0km) ▲ Guamsa to Baekhakbong Ridge (0.9km), while the remaining trails will remain open as usual.
The Korea National Park Service plans to deploy forest fire monitoring personnel during this period and will intensively crack down on smoking, cooking, possession of flammable materials, etc., while strengthening patrols in fire-prone areas using firefighting equipment such as drones.
