Gwangju Buk-gu Signs Business Agreement to Support Nanum Scholarship Fundraising
Buk-gu, Gwangju City has joined hands with 'Hope Sharing People' to spread the warm value of sharing in the local community.
According to Buk-gu on the 15th, on the 14th, a 'Business Agreement for Sponsorship of Hope Sharing Scholarships' was signed at the Buk-gu Office Situation Room with the participation of Moon In, Buk-gu Mayor, Kim Dong-woo, Vice Chairman of Hope Sharing People, and other officials.
The business agreement for sponsorship of Hope Sharing Scholarships was realized by combining the warm hearts of Hope Sharing People for the underprivileged who need love and attention in the local community with Buk-gu’s active welfare resource discovery policy.
Through this agreement, Buk-gu will receive sponsorship from Hope Sharing People over two years, including ▲24 million KRW in scholarships ▲computers worth 3.6 million KRW ▲daily necessities worth 200 million KRW.
Buk-gu plans to provide the sponsored scholarships to 20 vulnerable children and adolescents, including grandparent-headed families, single-parent families, and North Korean defectors’ families, identified by the Dong Administrative Welfare Centers, at 50,000 KRW per month for 24 months. The computers worth 3.6 million KRW will be supported to three low-income households.
Additionally, daily necessities worth 200 million KRW will be delivered to neighbors in need of care in cooperation with the Dong Administrative Welfare Centers after detailed discussions on the sponsored items with Hope Sharing People.
