Pyeongtaek City Hosts 'Social Economy and Public Institution Matching Day'
17 Social Economy Companies Participate... Seeking Market Access Support
On the 15th, Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it held the '2023 Second Half Social Economy and Public Institution Matching Day' event at the Songtan International Exchange Center on the 14th.
Following the first half of the year, this second event was planned to increase product awareness among public institutions and connect contracts to expand the market for social economy enterprises, the city explained.

The event featured booths from 17 social economy enterprises, including Wooridle Happiness Sharing. Additionally, six city-funded and affiliated organizations participated, including Pyeongtaek Urban Corporation, Pyeongtaek Cultural Foundation, Pyeongtaek Welfare Foundation, Pyeongtaek Youth Foundation, Pyeongtaek International Exchange Foundation, and Pyeongtaek Local Food Foundation, along with city officials in charge. Notably, the Korea Post Business Promotion Agency's Post Office Shopping, 11st, SOVAC Market, and Haengboknarae also participated to support the expansion of sales channels for social economy enterprises.
Jung Jang-seon, mayor of Pyeongtaek, stated, "We will continue to provide steady support to improve the market channels for social economy enterprises."
