Gumi City Art Troupe to Hold Regular Performances in the Second Half of This Year

December 3 to 9, Dance Troupe, Choir, and Boys and Girls Choir Performances

Gumi City in Gyeongbuk Province will consecutively hold the 2023 second half regular performances of the Municipal Arts Troupes at the Culture and Arts Center Grand Theater in November and December.

Starting with the 66th Municipal Dance Troupe performance on November 23, followed by the 72nd Municipal Choir on November 30, and the 65th Municipal Boys and Girls Choir on December 9.

The Municipal Dance Troupe will perform under the title "Filling Jisan Saetgang with a Millennium (Goni)," expressing the beauty of nature, the vitality of life, and peace inspired by Jisan Saetgang and the natural monument swans that visit there annually.

The Municipal Choir will present a concert themed "Longing, Joy, Exciting (Donggyeong, Gippeum, Jeulgeoum)" featuring easy and friendly explanations by the concert guide, and collaborations with the local Gwangpyeong Middle School Orchestra and Sagok High School Band Session Team, offering citizens a variety of choral music.

Lastly, the Municipal Boys and Girls Choir will conclude the year with the theme "Christmas on Broadway," delivering a comforting message of hope and joy through songs, accompanied by performances on various instruments including the marimba, and an exchange concert with the Tongyeong Municipal Boys and Girls Choir.

Lee Jeong-o, Director of the Culture and Arts Center, said, "We hope citizens enjoy diverse cultural experiences through the second half regular performances of the Municipal Arts Troupes and warmly and happily welcome the beginning of winter and the year-end."

Admission to the performances is 3,000 KRW for all seats, and reservations can be made through Interpark. Discounts are available as follows: 50% for national merit recipients and persons with disabilities, 40% for families with multiple children and military merit recipients, 30% for Gumi citizens, and 10% for group bookings.
