Ottogi unveils 'Maekomaeyo,' a fusion of Sriracha and Mayonnaise
Spicy Sriracha Sauce and Savory Mayonnaise Combination
Ottogi announced on the 15th that it has launched a new mayonnaise product called 'Maekomaeyo, where Sriracha meets Mayones'.
Recently, as the spicy flavor trend has spread in the food industry, sauces featuring exotic spiciness such as Sriracha, chipotle, and chili have also gained attention. In response, Ottogi introduced a mayonnaise with a clean spicy taste by adding Sriracha sauce and chili powder, aiming to capture consumers' palates.
This product is characterized by its spicy yet savory flavor. The company explained that it pairs well as a dipping sauce for greasy foods like chicken and pizza, as well as for French fries and nachos. Reflecting consumer needs such as single-person households who prefer smaller portions, it was released in a 200g size.
