Gochang-gun Conducts 'Rapid Response Team Disaster Response System Enhancement Training'

Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk, conducted a ‘Rapid Response Team Disaster Response System Enhancement Training’ on the 14th for 35 health center employees in the large conference room on the 2nd floor of the health center.

According to the county on the 15th, this training was conducted to establish a disaster medical response system and improve the disaster response capabilities of the health center’s rapid response team in preparation for mass casualty disaster situations.

On the 14th, a 'Rapid Response Team Disaster Response System Enhancement Training' was conducted for public health center staff in the large conference room on the 2nd floor of the public health center.

The training was conducted by the Jeonbuk Emergency Medical Support Center and the Regional Emergency Medical Center (Wonkwang University Hospital), who visited the health center directly to provide the education.

The health center’s rapid response team is composed of the health center director, triage team, treatment team, and transport team to enable prompt on-site medical response in the event of a mass casualty disaster.

The rapid response team will operate an on-site emergency medical post during disasters involving 10 or more mass casualties.

On the day of the training, theoretical lectures on the disaster emergency medical emergency response manual, severity classification and how to fill out classification forms, and disaster site form writing practice were combined with practical exercises such as disaster emergency medical response tabletop drills, focusing on practical response capabilities.

Yoo Byung-su, director of the Gochang-gun Health Center, said, “Through continuous training, we will strengthen the disaster emergency medical response capabilities of the health center’s rapid response team and strive to protect the lives of residents and minimize damage in disaster situations through prompt patient triage and hospital transport.”
