‘Spider-Man’ Camilo Villegas (Colombia) is a player known for his unique putting stance. He is famous for reading the greens while crouching like Spider-Man. On the 12th, he ended a severe ‘win drought’ at the PGA Tour Butterfield Bermuda Championship (total prize money $6.5 million) held at Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda. It was his 5th career win, coming 9 years and 3 months after his victory at the Wyndham Championship in August 2014. The winner's prize money was $1.17 million (approximately 1.5 billion KRW).

The ‘special assistant’ behind Villegas’s victory was the LAB Golf Mez.1 Max putter. It was a product recommended by Adam Scott (Australia) during last year’s Presidents Cup. LAB is a line designed to reduce torque and twisting throughout the stroke. The wing shape of the putter increases forgiveness across the face. The sole of the head has multiple weights that help with stability.

Villegas finished as runner-up at the PGA Tour World Wide Technology Championship (total prize money $8.2 million), which ended on the 5th at El Cardonal at Diamante Cabo San Lucas in Los Cabos, Mexico, with an average of 1.61 putts per hole (4th place). In this tournament, his average putts per hole over four days was 1.63 (tied for 11th). Villegas said, “I think I have to thank Adam. My putting stroke has improved a lot. Using this putter feels unbelievably good,” smiling brightly.
