'Cheongyangseo' Elementary Students Participate in 'Astronomical Observation Event'
Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will hold the "Hwajeon Sunset Trip with Stars to See" event on the 15th and 18th of this month at the small library and rooftop of the welfare center in Hwajeon-dong, Goyang City.
This event is jointly planned and operated by the Hwajeon Village Management Social Cooperative and Korea Aerospace University, and is an astronomy observation experience program for 3rd and 4th grade elementary school students. The event will be held twice, at 4 PM and 6 PM, featuring "Sun Observation in the Sunset" and "Autumn Night Planet Observation," respectively.
The astronomy club of Korea Aerospace University, which is in charge of the program, offers various activities including ▲astronomy theory education ▲Solar System Race board game ▲Solar System keyring making ▲Sun observation ▲planet and star cluster observation, as well as the Solar System Race board game.
The Hwajeon Village Management Social Cooperative distributes "Hwajeon Love Gift Certificates," a reward coupon, to participants in cooperation with shops around Hwarang-ro near Hwajeon Station.
Choi Yong-hoon, Director of the Tourism Industry Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Following the recent Future Job Festival, we expect that through the 'Hwajeon Sunset Trip with Stars to See,' residents and students will cooperate for mutual benefit to discover various tourism products and present a vision for educational tourism."
