Naju City Holds Public Officials Integrity Bowling Tournament... 24 Teams, Over 100 Participants
Jeonnam Naju City (Mayor Yoon Byeong-tae) and the Naju City Branch of the Public Officials' Union (Branch Chief Im Jin-gwang) recently announced on the 13th that they held the 'Naju City Hall Public Officials Integrity Bowling Tournament' to pledge practical integrity and create a vibrant workplace atmosphere.
This tournament was held for the first time under the banner of spreading a culture of integrity in the public sector and promoting harmony among employees, following the integrity agreement signed between Naju City and the Public Officials' Union in June.

View original imageOver 100 participants from 24 city hall departments competed in a friendly competition over four days from the 7th to the 10th at a bowling alley located in Bitgaram-dong.
As a result, Team 1 and Team 2 from the Transportation Administration Department attracted attention by winning first and second place, respectively. The Water and Sewage Department took third place, and the Health Promotion Department came in fourth. Additionally, the teams that advanced to the quarterfinals received modest prize money prepared by the union.
Im Jin-gwang, the branch chief of the union, said, "This event was not only a pledge to improve internal integrity but also a meaningful occasion for employees, who had been exhausted from work, to communicate with each other through sports after a long time." He added, "We will do our best to provide honest administrative services for citizens by recharging in daily life."
He continued, "Starting this year, the Public Officials Integrity Bowling Tournament will be held regularly every year to promote harmony among employees."
Mayor Yoon Byeong-tae of Naju City, who attended the tournament awards ceremony, said, "We will frequently hold times for employees to improve their health as well as to laugh and unite together." He added, "Through communication and solidarity with the union, we will enhance internal organizational integrity and realize a city administration that makes citizens happy."
Since the integrity agreement aimed at improving organizational integrity, Naju City and the Public Officials' Union have promoted initiatives such as the 'Integrity Pledge Rally,' the 'No Giving or Receiving Gifts Campaign during the Chuseok Holiday,' and 'Integrity Education.'
They have also signed partnership agreements with 16 local businesses to facilitate convenience for affiliated employees and contribute to revitalizing the local economy.
