42nd Kim Su-young Literary Award Goes to Poet Park Chamsae
Park Chamsae (28) was selected as the winner of the 42nd Kim Su-young Literary Award, Minumsa, the organizing company, announced on the 13th. The winning works include Park's poem "Architecture" and 51 other poems.
The judging panel stated, "From the beginning, he attracted attention with energy and boldness overflowing like an active volcano," and explained, "His bold ideas based on rich literary references, diverse speakers, and the orthodox strength of delving into poetic themes to the end without detours or hesitation were overwhelmingly outstanding advantages."
Park Chamsae has also been active as a book curator at the virtual reality bookstore 'Moi' and as the host of the podcast 'Chamsae Chaekchaek.'
The prize money is 10 million won, and the award-winning poetry collection will be published within the year. Four representative poems from the winning works and the full judging comments will be first revealed in the literary magazine 'Liter' to be published early next month.

The Kim Su-young Literary Award was established by Minumsa in 1981 to honor the literary spirit of poet Kim Su-young (1921?1968). It is awarded to new poets or those within 10 years of their debut.
