The Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) announced on the 13th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Thailand Creative Economy Agency (TCEA) at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok. The Thailand Creative Economy Agency is an organization that aims to nurture film and drama creators and foster content in the field of new technology convergence. KOCCA plans to establish a close cooperative relationship in the fields of broadcasting, animation, and music.
The MOU covers three main areas: strengthening the expertise of companies and workers in broadcasting, animation, and music sectors in both countries; networking in these fields; and hosting business matching, workshops, and conferences. KOCCA’s K-Content Expo and export consultation meetings, as well as TCEA’s BIDC, will also engage in mutual cooperation.
Chakrit Pitchayangkun, President of the Thailand Creative Economy Agency, said, "We have high expectations for signing this MOU with KOCCA, which comprehensively supports K-content that has captivated the world," adding, "It will be a great opportunity to strengthen national soft power." Cho Hyun-rae, President of KOCCA, stated, "The two countries have already collaborated and exchanged in many content fields such as music and broadcasting," and added, "We will consider and support various projects to help both countries grow further through this agreement."
