Mr. Hwang Nam-gap of Donghae-myeon, Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam Receives Highest Honor 'Presidential Award'
Recognition for Contributions in the Field of Eco-Friendly Agriculture
Hwang Nam-gap, chairman of the Gyeongsangnam-do Eco-friendly Agriculture Association in Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam, received the Presidential Award on the 13th at the 28th Agricultural Day event in Gyeongsangnam-do in recognition of his contributions to the field of eco-friendly agriculture.
Chairman Hwang is a pioneer of eco-friendly agriculture, having established a 17-hectare eco-friendly rice cultivation complex in Donghae-myeon in 2007 and obtained organic certification, leading the production of high-quality eco-friendly rice.
He actively promoted the spread of eco-friendly agriculture while serving as the secretary-general of the Goseong-gun Eco-friendly Agriculture Association (2016?2019) and as its chairman (2020?2021). Since 2022, he has expanded his role as the chairman of the Gyeongsangnam-do Eco-friendly Agriculture Association.
In particular, Chairman Hwang played a significant role in Goseong-gun being selected as the best institution for three consecutive years (2018?2020) in the ‘Gyeongsangnam-do Eco-friendly Ecological Agriculture Promotion Award.’ Since taking office as chairman of the Gyeongsangnam-do Eco-friendly Agriculture Association in 2022, the Gyeongnam Eco-friendly Cooperative Business Group was selected as a supplier for school meals in Seoul and the Gyeonggi area, greatly contributing to expanding sales channels to the 10 billion KRW range annually.
