"Hero Appears at Jamsil Station"… Spider-Man Stops Homeless Man's Misconduct and Disappears
"Visiting Jamsil to Create Memories for Children"
Spider-Man appeared at Jamsil Station on the Seoul subway.
On the 11th, X (formerly Twitter) was flooded with eyewitness accounts such as, "I saw Spider-Man. What? He was breaking up a fight between a homeless person and a passerby. For real. Is that really Spider-Man?"
The released photo showed Spider-Man appearing at the moment a homeless person threatened a station staff member, stepping in to stop the fight.
At the time, a station staff member patrolling Jamsil Station tried to escort a homeless person who was sleeping inside the station out, but was threatened by the homeless person.
In the video capturing the situation, when Spider-Man held the homeless person's hand and refused to let go, the homeless person shouted, "Let go of me," and lunged at the staff members, but Spider-Man calmed him down, saying, "Please calm down."
The homeless person, excited and waving his arms while both hands were held by Spider-Man, looked as if he was dancing, which made some passersby burst out laughing.
The police, who arrived after being called by the station staff, forcibly removed the homeless person.
Spider-Man disappeared quietly after the situation was resolved, but the eyewitness accounts remain lively.
One netizen wrote, "A friend who met Spider-Man at Jamsil Station was so surprised that they asked in English if they could take a photo, and he replied in a warm tone, 'Oh, of course,'" "I've met him several times at Jamsil Station, and he always greeted the children," and "Has a hero appeared in Seoul too?" among other reactions.
At 1:30 a.m. on the 12th, a user who claimed to be 'Spider-Man' also appeared. He wrote on X, "On weekends, I often go to Jamsil, where many children come, dressed as Spider-Man, taking photos and creating good memories," adding, "It takes about 10 minutes for the police to arrive, so I tried to prevent the situation from escalating into a bigger fight."
